Partial resin-bonded restorations are considered to be the most esthetic biological and biomechanical solution when it comes to restoring dental defects. At the same time, the availability of new materials, techniques and concepts affords us the opportunity to provide our patients with state-of-the-art treatment. Dental manufacturers are offering a wide array of exceptional products. These need to go hand in hand with a precise methodology which ensures that dentists have a solution at hand that simplifies their daily work.
The aim of this presentation will be to suggest a simple way of working and thinking which can be summed up in the three key words: simple, teachable and repeatable. Laminate veneers will be presented as a versatile option to not only solve cosmetic problems, but also functional ones (worn dentition).
Both topics are addressed on the basis of the same philosophy (minimal invasiveness) involving the same bonded materials (CAD/CAM and pressable ceramic), the same concepts (visualisation, validation, navigation through the mock-up) and the same clinical procedures (prep design, temporization, cementation). Esthetic dentistry made simple, digital and, what is more, accessible.
